I had the honor of serving as the WCDP Executive Director from April 2023 to April 2025. During that time, our organization experienced extraordinary growth.

  • Fundraising: We launched the WCDP Impact Circle and grew recurring contributions nearly tenfold, allowing us to hire two additional full-time staff members.  

  • Technology: We developed on-demand resources for organizing (e.g., dashboards for GOTO/GOTV and Welcome to the Precinct Postcards), making it easier than ever for volunteers to get involved.

  • Organizing: Increased Direct Voter Contacts ~5x, knocking more doors in 2023 than the prior three years combined, fueling a record-breaking ground game in 2024 with 45,000 conversations at nearly 150,000 doors.

I’m confident that our efforts made the difference in electing Allison Riggs (yes, we did elect Allison Riggs) and Terence Everitt, and I know our organization is stronger than ever.

I’m running to build on that progress.

We’re building a community of organizers who engage with voters to elect Democrats who share our values—and we’re just getting started.

Meet The Slate!

  • I’m Camille Kauer, and I’m running to be your next 1st Vice Chair to help strengthen and grow our party.

    Organizing is about more than logistics; it’s about trust, relationships, and making sure everyone feels seen, heard, and empowered. As a two-term advisor for Wake Teen Democrats and newly appointed advisor to the North Carolina Association of Teen Democrats, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring the next generation of leaders. With a background in community engagement, media, and organizing, I know how to lead under pressure, communicate clearly, and build strong, inclusive teams.

    Whether it’s mobilizing volunteers or supporting candidates, I keep people connected and motivated. If elected, I’ll focus on executing our strategic plan, reenergizing volunteer engagement, and making sure every precinct has the support it needs.

    I’m ready to listen, learn, and lead alongside you. Let’s organize, empower, and win together. I humbly ask for your vote. Thank you.

  • I currently serve as both the Assistant and the Acting Second Vice Chair for Training and Education of WCDP.

    As Second Vice Chair, my goal is to ensure that our volunteers have the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and systems-support necessary to be confident and effective in:

    • Year-round organizing –  reaching, motivating, and empowering voters with impactful messages and opportunities for action;

    • Strengthening WCDP’s presence and visibility communities; and

    • Winning decisively at the polls in all races up and down the ballot. 

    Since joining WCDP in 2024, I have:

    • Collaborated to develop, update, and deliver multiple training sessions on ten topics ranging from Canvassing with MiniVan, to conducting Precinct Annual Meetings; to the Onboarding Training Series for new Precinct Officers; to Meetings 101: How to Plan and Conduct Effective Meetings;

    • Developed and led a cascade-training initiative using a train-the-trainers approach: the Canvass Training Captains (CTCs). I trained, mentored, and managed the CTC team to provide training at more than 42 mid-week canvasses in five Areas around Wake County, thus multiplying our impact both at the doors for direct voter contact, and at the polls with ballots cast for Democratic candidates; 

    • Mentored new canvassers across Wake County during Get Out the Organization (GOTO) and Get Out the Vote (GOTV);

    • Actively participated on the Persuasion Canvassing Team, focusing on candidates Terrence Everitt, Safiyah Jackson, and Josh Stein;

    • Was recognized as a WCDP  “Rising Star” for 2024, and a top canvasser (ranked 8th highest on the canvass leaderboard with 1,450 doors knocked during GOTV 2024);

    • Became the newly elected Precinct Chair for 04-07 for 2025-2027  (served as Secretary in 2024).

    If elected, I would be honored to serve in the role of Second Vice Chair. I will lead strategically and work collaboratively to build on – and improve – WCDP’s strong foundations, while keeping the open mind and committed heart necessary to move our Party and communities forward in upholding democratic values and winning elections.

  • I’m running for 3rd Vice Chair because I believe Wake County Democrats need to get back to talking with working class people in plain language about the issues that matter most to them.

    We need to meet people where they are whether thats online, at their doorsteps, or out in their neighborhoods.

    Our message should be clear, grounded, and rooted in everyday concerns like wages, housing, healthcare, and public services.

    I also believe we must build lasting relationships with unions and workers, lifting up their voices and showing we have their backs, not just during campaigns, but year round.

    We need a party that knows how to communicate with everyone, not just the political class.

  • I am the Assistant to the EC 4th Vice Chair and currently perform many of the activities of the 4th Vice Chair.

    I’ve been heavily involved with the Wake Dems since 2020 where I was invited by my now Precinct Chair based on the number of pro-Democrat signs that I had placed in my front yard. I initially served as Precinct Secretary and since 2021 I’ve served as Precinct Vice Chair.

    Technical Contributions:
    As a professional website developer for over two decades, I re-designed and rebuilt the Wake Dems website to run on a WordPress platform early in 2023. The new platform enabled us to add unique functionality. Some of which included:

    • A greatly expanded events calendar, where users could easily add, view and search for events.

    • A section that profiled all the Wake Dem Endorsed Candidates, enabling voters to do their research all in one location. This very popular feature likely resulted in the successful election of the non-partisan, but endorsed, Soil & Water Supervisors.

    • A section where users could download a customized, precinct-specific slate card and print it out and/or take it into the polling place on their phones.

    I have experience in databases and data analysis. Using VoteBuilder came naturally as I have assisted the Data Management Corps team (DMC) in various tasks such as turf-drawing, PAM packet processing and general data requests made by Precinct Officers.

    Collaborative Contributions:
    I’ve collaborated with the 3rd Vice Chair to get enhanced content onto the website, like the Candidate and Elected Official profiles. I’ve collaborated with the 2nd Vice Chair to provide advanced Technical Training information for new Precinct Officers, and those needing a refresh. I’ve also worked with the WCDP System Admin to make sure the digital assets are protected.

    Voter Interactions:
    In the last two years I have knocked on hundreds of doors, worked numerous poll-greeting shifts, attended social events with like-minded community and talked to my neighbors. These interactions make me realize there are many people that share the same feelings and passions as I do, and yes, WE CAN move forward.

    Recognition:
    My commitment and dedication to the WCDP organization in both technical and collaborative activities was recognized as I was one of just four people recently honored with a “Rising Star” award in February of 2025. If elected, I pledge to continue my efforts 100 percent.

  • I’m honored to be running for a second term as Secretary of the Wake County Democratic Party.

    Over the years, I’ve been actively involved in grassroots organizing across many election cycles—working to elect leaders who reflect our values and serve our communities. As a founding member of Desi Democrats, I’ve helped bring the Indian American community into the political process, supporting candidates who stand for equity and inclusion. I also had the honor of serving on our Governor’s Transition Committee, a rewarding experience that strengthened my commitment to public service.

    Outside of politics, I’ve worked to uplift our local community through the Triangle Area Telugu Association (TATA), where I’ve served as both Secretary and President. I also launched the TATA Leadership Academy to help young people develop leadership skills and get involved.

    As Secretary, I’ve focused on keeping things organized, transparent, and accessible for all. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished—and with your support, I’m excited to keep moving our party forward. I’d be grateful for your vote!

  • My name is Jim Duffett. I’m the current North Wake Regional Vice Chair, and I’m excited to be running alongside this slate for another term!

    I’m a lifelong Democrat with experience serving at WCDP as both an Area Coordinator for the Lakes Area and as North Wake RVC since January.

    For 40 years, I led & built healthcare & democracy social justice organizations at both state & national levels. I also served as Rev. Barber’s Healthcare Chair, and I’ve directed field operations for senate, congressional, mayoral, & city council races.

    In the 2024 election, our team created an impressive infrastructure with 40+ canvassers knocking thousands of doors, achieving one of the highest average turnouts in the state. We built systems for early voting and Election Day poll greeting, yard sign placement, phone banking, postcard writing, and social events.

    Our volunteer interest list grew to 1,000+, we organized all 9 of our precincts, and we hold regular fireside chats. We’re now establishing Area teams for communications, data, technology, and volunteer engagement.

    In 2025/26, we’re going to win municipal elections, flip HD-35, solidify SD-18, & boost support for Wake & statewide candidates—especially our judiciary.

    I bring a wealth of organizing experience, constituent building, leadership development & a collaborative spirit, and I humbly ask for your vote.

  • I’m running for North Raleigh Regional Vice Chair because I believe in the power of grassroots organizing and the importance of strong, consistent regional support.

    For nearly two years, I’ve served as co-Area Coordinator for Midtown and recently stepped in to support Umstead. During that time, I’ve canvassed, made voter outreach calls, poll greeted during early voting and on Election Day, and supported everything from Get Out the Organization to Get Out the Vote.

    I’ve found that I genuinely love this work—especially connecting directly with voters. Whether it’s knocking on doors, helping someone get a provisional ballot after being turned away, or simply setting up and breaking down tents at polling places, I’ve seen how every effort makes a difference.

    As RVC, I’ll be a strong partner to Area Coordinators, a resource for volunteers, and a clear communicator to leadership.

    I’m committed to helping build a well-organized, motivated, and collaborative region as we prepare for the critical work ahead.

  • I have held the position of South Raleigh Vice Chair since August 2024. During this time, I have kept my eyes open and ears to the ground to learn as much as possible about all this position entails.

    With close to a year of hands-on experience, as well as continued growth and understanding of what is requires, I am excited to start anew. If I am fortunate enough to be re-elected to this position, I am ready, willing, and able to do the work of the South Raleigh Vice Chair.

    I look forward to working with its talented Area Coordinators to move the South Raleigh forward, increasing community knowledge and involvement for the progression of the Wake County Democratic Party.

  • I’ve been engaged in WCDP since 2019, as Precinct Secretary, Precinct Chair and Area Coordinator of South Cary. My goal has remained the same - to build an active and supportive community of Democrats and progressive voters.

    My focus is elevating engagement through GOTO activities. I host monthly gatherings where elected officials and candidates inspire us to expand our involvement.

    Volunteering with WCDP is a year-round practice for South Cary. We want to lead by example and help our neighbors. These activities are increasing as we build a cohesive team that collaborates across precinct borders.

    We’ve collected and distributed hurricane relief supplies, donated goods for Ronald McDonald House, and sorted supplies for InterAct of Wake County. Our motto is “Democrats Deliver!”

    Channeling the energy from these efforts mobilizes folks who not only vote but also embrace the good work of electing Democrats.

    We canvass in understaffed precincts. We fill in the blanks for poll-greeting across the county. We see each other year round. And we talk to our neighbors, family and friends to share the mission and goodwill of WCDP.
